Starbucks Highlights Their Partnership with City Year!

Staff member, Jessie, celebrates City Year's partnership with Starbucks

Prominently featured in the window of the Starbucks on 23rd and Jackson in Seattle’s Central District is an illustration of City Year’s powerful work. The mural on display depicts the impact that City Year is making on the drop-out crisis and in the lives of Seattle students in part through the deeply rooted partnership between Starbucks and City Year.

Starbucks is committed to being a positive neighbor and catalyst for change for their partners, customers and their communities. Starbucks is a longtime supporter of City Year’s work through both generous financial investment and their employee’s tireless volunteer hours. In April of 2011, City Year Seattle/King County received a $30,000 grant from Starbucks Shared Planet Youth Action Awards.

City Year Seattle/King County’s corps members and staff stopped by the store to check out the display and have a cup of coffee. If you’re in the neighborhood, you should too!

Corps Members, Denise and Cori, celebrate Starbucks too!
